Our oak beams are dried for a number of years, resulting in a aged look with cracks and splits that add character. You can choose beams with many finishes from sanded with rounded edges to a fully oiled finish. Sanding can restore the French oak’s light colour, contrasting with the darker, weathered appearance of sawn beams—while preserving the natural knots and splits that make each beam unique. We stock a large number of oak beams and these can be cut to your preferred dimensions. These beams are all dried resulting in distinctive cracks and splits. These beams are rough sawn rather than precision cut, so a tolerance should be expected.

We can trim our beams to your specified size. When beams are cut to non-square sections, the newly exposed surfaces may appear lighter in colour compared to the original faces of the beam.
